J-PEN Borneo: Jurnal Ilmu Pertanian is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Borneo Tarakan, North Kalimantan, Indonesia. Issued biannually (April and October), the journal focuses on the development and application of agricultural sciences in border and marginal regions.

J-PEN Borneo: Jurnal Ilmu Pertanian is dedicated to research on sustainable agriculture and agribusiness in border regions, including adaptive technologies for marginal lands, plant protection under challenging environments, and rural agricultural economics. The journal aims to advance scientific knowledge and practical solutions to support sustainable agriculture in geographically strategic yet vulnerable regions, bridging local practices with global agricultural advancements.

In an effort to improve the quality of journal management, the JPEN Borneo Journal will migrate to OJS 3 in 2026, or subsequent to the official release of the results of the National Scientific Journal Accreditation (SINTA), Period II of 2025.
